Dianne stays on the mainland, 4 brothers visit me on Oahu

We came back to Iowa to do our taxes and then I went back to Hawaii to finish my last month of doctoring and entertaining 4 of my six living brothers. We Ruggles are pretty low maintenance so weekdays they spent time exploring Pearl Harbor and nearby trails and beaches as I had clinic duties. On the weekend, we traveled to the north shore to watch surfers and eat at a food truck aptly named 80 CHICKEN SANDWICHES that describes the business model where this transplant from Atlanta has gotten famous with a single menu item. He does all the work and closes when the eightieth is sold We ate numbers 73-77 helping him end his day at 2:15 pm that Saturday.

Another activity was riding bikes reprising a trip to Colorado in 2020 where we rode among the Rockies. Flatter terrain and ideal weather made Hawaii somewhat easier.

The last picture proves we survived the 8 fun days. From left you see Jerry, Daon, me, David and Dan

I look forward to my return to Iowa and Dianne May 16th.

What joy to be connected with your brothers in paradise! You guys all look great and appear to be headed for an incredible longevity contest! I’m really happy for you and pray that these last couple of weeks will be, as you say “maintenance free” and that your return to Dianne and Newton will be easy and sweet.
