KIWI TRAINS ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK

Last weekend we chose a new means of travel here and we loved it. Taking the 4 hour journey to a favorite town of ours on the west coast was beautiful and stress-free. These trains have viewing cars that allow for great photos. We went from our town of Darfield walking 3 blocks from home to board on Saturday morning the rode about 4 hours across the Southern Alps amidst great vistas you can see below.

We arrived at Hokitika for a 2 day stay and stayed among evergreens that reminded us of Christmas trees with upgoing needles and a semblance of a tiny cross on top. Just in front of our motel room were 3 alpacas named Harry, Mary and Larry that took a shine to Dianne.

  1. By any chance were the lambs headed toward a manger? If so, I would definitely follow them!
