I learned the flightless New Zealand bird, the Moa was driven to extinction by humans just 600 years ago. They ranged in size from as small as turkeys or 2 meters high as depicted in the sculpture. Because they were tasty to humans, the “moa is no moa”

Queenstown is an adventure destination so, while Brian and Missy did canyoning nearby, Paul and Dianne did indoor skydiving. We didn’t bungee jump but did see the spot where Missy had done it on a previous trip here with friends.
