Sunday found me golfing at the nearby Horarata Golf Course with my next door neighbor, Chris. I rented clubs and played 18 holes on a beautiful morning. The course is a good test of skill and I pulled the “trundle” with my “hired” clubs with my scores ranging from a birdie to a 6 over par 11 . The most amazing thing was the handmade tees Chris uses which elevates the ball a full 5 inches above the ground (and he hits it squarely somehow).
Dianne and I spent the afternoon on a trail called Washpen Falls 35 minutes away just off my favorite road, the Inland Scenic Highway. The dirt track was muddy after recent rains but Dianne led me safely to the falls. We finished in good shape though it did take 2 hours instead of the advertised 57 minutes. See the pictures below-good thing Dianne didn’t slip into the dense foliage as her green clothes could have made her hard to find.
