New Zealand Sabbatical

Summer is coming on in our area of the south island of New Zealand so the only snow we see is on a rare peak or ravine of the Southern Alps an hour to the west of us. We read blizzards are hitting Iowa just before Christmas but we know the folks back home are tough and will deal with whatever weather hits. The people in Darfield are excited as Christmas approaches a few have decorated their yards. Here is a picture of a neighbor’s yard with white ornaments including a kiwi bird seen far left.
