Local Favorites in Darfield

We are finding neat businesses and nice people right here in our town of 2,900 people. The Fat Beagle Cafe is within 3 minutes by bike and has wonderful coffees and desserts (like their chocolate almond slice). Another lunch spot is the Bakery Cafe where Saturday our group of 10 mountain bike riders finished our 40 km ride over rural roads mostly on gravel including a climb up “Vomit Hill”. Johnny Fresh is a small, quality produce market with in season favorites and good prices. I have an appointment for my first international haircut by Karen who operates The Shearing Shed in a building barely big enough for one barber’s chair.

Your upcoming trip to The Shearing Sheed reminds me of this: https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/6060662/chris-the-sheep-officially-breaks-world-record-for-heaviest-fleece/

    Merry Christmas, you two!
