We did the 4 hour trip west across the Southern Alps to Greymouth and enjoyed a meal at a local eatery and saw the Tasman Sea crashing against the shore. An industrious soul gave us a tour of his “air conditioned” beach house made fromwashed up debris. It was a rather rugged adventure for these 3 Ruggles.
